The Port Coquitlam Firefighters Charitable Society is proud to award two $1000 scholarships to graduating students at each Riverside AND Terry Fox Secondary schools (one male and one female per school*)
Students must meet the following criteria:

Resident of Port Coquitlam

Graduating grade 12 student from Riverside or Terry Fox Secondary School

Plans to attend recognized post-secondary institution for career advancement course

Demonstrated school involvement and dedication to community
-
Plans to use the scholarship money for tuition within one year of graduation

* all genders are welcome to apply, including trans and non-binary students

Danielle Hoult Courage Award
We are proud to sponsor the Danielle Hoult Courage Award in memory of Dani Hoult. Dani was a 2019 Graduate of Riverside Secondary who touched the lives of everyone she met. She courageously battled cancer for many years and was an inspiration to us all because of her character, empathy and courage while facing so much adversity. Dani passed away in April 2021 and we want to honour Dani’s memory by annually awarding 2 $2000 awards for post-secondary school or training to a graduating Riverside AND a graduating Terry Fox Secondary student that embodies the same characteristics as Dani.
Students being considered for this award should represent some or all of the following:

Courage by going forward in the face of adversity

Resiliency in the face of unusually difficult circumstances at home or a life changing obstacle

Positivity in dealing with everyday situations
